California public libraries, in partnership with California Department of Veterans Affairs, are working to connect veterans and their families to benefits and services for which they are eligible. Libraries, in collaboration with community veteran service organizations, can positively impact the quality of life for veterans.
Veterans Connect @ the Library will be in Booth 3046 at the ALA 2015 Exhibit Hall! Stop by for free how-to information, examples, advice, models, outcome data, and further resources that will help you extend this valuable service in your own community.
See their ink, hear their stories. War Ink emerged out of a need to recognize veterans' service and sacrifices and to bridge the divide between the veterans and civilian communities.
War Comes Home, Cal Humanities' current thematic initiative, aims to raise awareness of and promote greater understanding of our veterans and explore the impact of war on our communities.
